Bizzarre Clothing Rules For The Golf Club

February 26th, 2009
Comments Off

Almost all sports require the participants to wear certain clothes and in this golf is no different. To be sure you do not fall foul of these restrictions you will need to get the best type of clothing from a specialist store. Each golf course may differ on it’s expectations from golfers so it is best to know what these are in advance. It is important to remember that some golf courses are very particular about the dress worn by the players and they would not permit any player unless he is adequately dressed. This can be highly frustrating and leave you quite upset at the end of the day if you are stopped from playing golf simply because of a misunderstanding on appropriate clothing.

For men and boys there are several things that are immediately unacceptable on the golf course. The two most universal are concerned with shirts – any shirt worn by a player must have a collar and sleeves. The likes of running shoes (usually they have metal spikes) and jogging wear are also not allowed. Many people have fallen foul of the offensive clothing rule where the have an item of clothing that has an obnoxious or offensive logo on it. In addition, jeans as well as sandals are generally not permitted either (this applies to women too).

The most apt clothes for men are: suitable pants or shorts, golf or sports shoes and collared shirts. If you are wearing golf shoes, ensure that they are soft spikes and are not metal spikes – most courses will not permit metal spikes on the green due to the damage that they can cause. If you are wearing a turtle neck or normal sweater you should be OK and if a shirt is worn it can be either long or short sleeved. Socks should reach ankle length without any distasteful logos and in solid color.

There are some other necessities to take along when golfing like your golf hand towel. Your golf hand towels help you remove the sweat from your golf club before you take your swing. Find ton of great buys on personalized golf hand towels here.

For women you can wear such things as fitted shorts, properly fitting skirts and even Capri’s. Jeans, shorts or otherwise are not allowed neither are full length pants either. For modesty’s sake a woman wearing shorts or a skirt should ensure they are of an appropriate length which means not higher than five inches above the knee. However each golf course is guided by its own specific rules and guidelines in the matter. As far as shirts are concerned, like the men, they must also have a collar and if a sweater is chosen it must be a v-neck.

However, a woman can wear a shirt that is completely sleeveless or have short sleeved (providing it has a collar). As far as socks are concerned, they must be ankle length and their shoes the same conditions as a man but as far as head wear is concerned – a hat or visor is OK. Socks ought to be solid colored and should not have any objectionable logos or designs on them. Another important to remember is that any accompanying person to the golf course should also follow the same dress rules. If you are unsure about your clubs rules on dress, give them a quick call or check out their website before you go.

Wedding Photo Tips

February 26th, 2009
Comments Off

A co-worker has asked you to take pictures at her wedding, and you don’t want to mess up this important task! They may have decided a professional photographer is too expensive and instead are relying on you to document this most important day for them.

You feel the pressure, and want to make sure you do the best job possible. Here are the top thoughts from Jim Whitesell, a Edmonton wedding photographer:

1. Use the best equipment possible

A small point-and-shoot camera is fine for capturing family memories, but doesn’t do as well as a digital SLR with an external flash. The focus time, shutter delay, and limited reach of the small built-in flash will all cause problems for you. If you do not own or have access to a digital SLR camera and external flash, you can probably rent them from a camera store. Be sure to test and practice with the camera before the wedding day! A professional will likely have multiple lenses as well, but this is often beyond the ability of a casual shooter.

2. Take at least two memory cards

Although it doesn’t happen often, memory cards can fail. Keeping an extra card with you is cheap insurance that will keep you shooting if your card does quit working. Be sure the cards are of ample size so you don’t run out of space half-way through the night. 4GB is the minimum size you should have with you.

3. Batteries, batteries, batteries

Be sure to charge the camera batteries the night before, and preferably have a second battery charged and ready. Most external flash units use AA batteries so have a couple extra sets of these, too.

4. Attend the rehearsal

Taking pictures at the rehearsal is the best way to be prepared for the pictures you’ll take at the actual ceremony. You’ll have a feel for where to position yourself for the best shots. While a professional wedding photographer won’t usually shoot at the rehearsal, they will often make an appearance to not only reassure the bride and groom that they are prepared for the next day but also to scope out the building. Their experience will enable them to know where the best shots are just by seeing the facility.

5. Posing the bridal party

When taking formal pictures of the bridal party, pay attention to the details. Make sure everyone’s face is visible, and pay attention to the placement of hands and feet. Pleasing poses are important.

6. Shooting the ceremony

If the wedding will take place inside a church, you’ll need to shoot the ceremony without flash. Use a tripod to hold the camera steady or camera shake caused by longer exposure times will likely ruin the pictures.

7. Shooting the reception

If possible, try to get a shot or two of the reception hall before everyone arrives. Takes some shots of other details, too – like the head table decorations, cake, etc. Once things are underway, it’s always nice to go table-to-table and get pictures of all the guests.

8. Shoot the details

Take pictures of the little details. The rings, bridal bouquet, ring bearer, flower girl, bride’s shoes, etc. are all great details to capture and the bride will be quite pleased to have these.

9. Capture the fun

There are always fun, unplanned moments that make each wedding unique and memorable. Always have your camera ready to capture the moment!

10. Back up the photos

As soon as possible after the wedding, burn all the original images to a CD or DVD for safekeeping. Do this before you make any changes to them. If you accidentally delete an important picture or have a computer failure you’ll still have the originals to fall back on. Even a professional budget wedding photographer will make backups.

Your friends have entrusted you with a very important task. The pictures are the best way to remember the wedding and all the fun details. Even though a professional wedding photographer will do a better job, brides and grooms on a tight budget may not have the ability to hire one.

Reasons to Apply for Anonymous Prepaid Credit Cards

February 26th, 2009
Comments Off

Usually, when people need to get additional cash, they turn to credit cards, allowing them to buy things now and pay them later. It was convenient at first, however, on succeeding transactions, a lot of people failed to pay their debts. All of the people who own a credit card are given their individual credit limit based on their personal plan and depending on their ability to pay. Some of them get promoted from being an commonly credit card holder to being one of the bank’s most treasured clients thus being given the premium plan. Many of these people now have premium cards that they can use even abroad. However, there are still many of those people who overspend and yet failed to pay on time. This causes them problems like being run after by the bank. They get embarrassed when credit card agents start calling their homes, begging them to pay. Some banks even call the offices while some send letters from the legal department. To avoid this trouble, the banks have now introduced a new type of plastic, which are the prepaid credit cards.

Prepaid credit cards let card holders control their expenses with their cards by depositing ahead of time. This funds deposited will now serve as their credit limit. Once people spend the entire amount of money left in their account, they will be able to reload it through the bank or ATM depending on the terms of the bank. Getting prepaid credit cards has become really easy. It doesn’t matter if the applicant doesn’t have a stable job or ample source of income. There is no requirement providing proofs such as his paycheck, business permits or bank statements.

Besides, from this technology, another innovation has introduced that is, the anonymous prepaid credit cards. These prepaid credit cards allow the card holders to keep their privacy. Many credit card holders are not familiar with the fact that whenever they use their card, they become vulnerable to tracking systems. With this in mind, everything goes around. Whenever they purchase any item using their card, their spending habits are tracked. This is something that should worry card holders. With the new anonymous prepaid credit cards, they don’t need to provide personal data standard credit cards ask for.

Because online shopping is a development from the old school way of purchasing directly from the stores, many of these online stores require credit cards. The problem now is that with all the technology around, this information online may not be secured and there is a risk for somebody to hack the information. Upon hacking the data from the card, the hacker can now use the same card in his or her insidious transactions. Especially when the bills come this gets a problem. The card holder has to pay for something he or she did not even ordered.

A number of banks are now offering this service. Two of those companies are the Visa and the American Express. Basically, anonymous prepaid credit cards work like the Visa Prepaid Kreditkarte minus all the personal data. These are not just for those who are hiding something. They are right for all card holders who don’t like “giving away” their personal data to strangers. May be you are one of them.

Finding Good Restoration Builders

February 25th, 2009
Comments Off

Old properties are a bit like old family members, they need a lot of attention, they need a lot of love, they can sometimes reward you and they can often be quite smelly. This may sound silly but it is true. If you are prepared to take on a heritage restoration then you need to be prepared for the fact that it will take a lot of time, a lot of stress and a lot of money to create the kind of property you would like.

There are a number of potential pitfalls that can come along with trying to restore a period property or listed building. As with any other construction work you need to have the appropriate planning permission but there are other concerns with listed buildings. The reason we buy and own old buildings is because they have charm and they have character. It is important to try and conserve this character on any heritage restoration project and as long as you set out to do this then you should be ok with the legal side, plan to alter history and you might have problems. There is a balance that needs to be struck between conservation, care and repair, the reverential treatment of old buildings and modern needs, modern comforts, modern requirements.

In the current market climate you are going to need to have enough funding in order to not only pay for the initial planning and building work but also to maintain the property. Once your new heritage restoration project has been completed this is by no means the end of financial strains. Many listed buildings are required to be maintained and looked after which means that you may frequently require the services of a good local restoration builder.

Hiring a good restoration builder will help you to keep the character of the existing building whilst incorporating modern new build features that compliment the property. Restoration builders will also be able to help you with legal issues and information as well as being able to put you in touch with experienced professionals such as architects.

It is easy to find specialist builders online using a search engine like Google or Yahoo. You can find local builders in your area by using search phrases like restoration builders Wiltshire, which will return a list of builders in that area. Many of these websites will have case studies and examples of existing work they have done along with details of the different type of services they have on offer.

I’ve found the best Dallas Personal Trainer

February 25th, 2009
Comments Off

I just wanted to say basically why it is I really like Lady Trainers To Go and their all female in home personal trainer service. First off, my Dallas personal trainer is just absolutely awesome. The other thing is I really do enjoy the convenience of having someone come into my home. I don’t have a personal gym at home and what’s really great is my Dallas personal trainer brings all the equipment with her that we need for a workout. I don’t have to provide anything. No more gyms fee’s, fighting traffic or waiting in line for equipment. She just show’s up at my door on time and off we go, another great workout.

Having a Dallas personal trainer come to my home also provides a lot of flexibility. Weather we’re doing it indoors or we decide to do it outside; it’s really great. She’s constantly looking for ways to change things up to make our workouts a little more difficult. It’s great, it’s just hard for me to believe I can get a great workout from my home, but I am and I love it.

One of the best things about Lady Trainers To Go is they found a trainer for me that was my age an can relate to the types of “female” issues in a way that no male trainer I’ve ever had could.

I would recommend Lady Trainers To Go to family, friends or anyone that needs to exercise but just doesn’t have the time.  They have a great video on there website that helped me understand why they’re so different from trainers I’ve had in the past, you should check it out on their Dallas personal trainer page.
